Tamiya 1/20 - Lotus 102 Lamborghini Conversion - Herbert - Japan 90

Lotus 102 Lamborghini was last Lotus with reputable factory engine supply and with full yellow Camel sponsorship. This F1 racer did not do well at all in 1990 season. Herbert substituted the badly injured Donelly for last few races. Tamiya released Lotus 102B Judd version and Modelers released Lotus 101 resin. No manuafacturer has ever released Lotus 102. Fortunately, our fellow F1 modeler Steffen from Germany made us a home-made nose cone and decal and makes this project possible. This is a curbside conversion project with minor transmission and rear shock absorbers details. The toughest part was to align front wing with new nose cone, re-profile body cowling and merged MP4/5B undertray into Lotus undertray. Overall, this is fun and cool project.. No engine details to worry about. I spent about 2.5 month total to get this project done and I am really happy with the result.
